Been coming here for 3 years. Very affordable and yummy food. Would come more frequently if we live around this place..

Meh. Your typical hole in the wall dhokla shop - more hype than delivering on the appeal.
We were recommended this place by a family friend and made the drive over to check it out. It's located in a run down strip mall. The space is a bit tucked away so may be hard to be noticed by passers by. They likely function on word of mouth (after all, that is how we ended up there) so from my perspective - they should be killing the customer service piece...which could be better.
Inside it's small, with some small booths for indoor dining, but I would guess the bulk of the business is take out. The large counter that meets you as you walk in is very apparent and you're momentarily transported to the streets of India, where vendors readily display all their fresh noms for viewing. The trouble here was that it was ONLY visual sensation. The workers wouldn't allow for us to sample anything to see if we will be satisfied with the offerings. Given the heavy price tag and small portions - throw us a sample to see what we're in for -_-!
We ended up purchasing a package of handvo and dhokla...and they were rather underwhelming. Everything was freshly made...just not well! The dhokla was VERY salty, and the handvo was burnt at the bottom! There were some small bites that were forgiving, but overall not worth it from a taste or price perspective.
One redeeming quality was that they did allow my dog inside to cool off from the heat, thank you!
Overall, not convinced to go back anytime soon unless the word of mouth stays strong and we just came in on an off day. -

Small vegetarian cafe with many snack, meal, and beverage options.
Order at the counter and pay if you're getting food-to-go. Otherwise, the owner will keep an open tab for you where you sit-and-eat and then pay when you're done. When you're done eating and paying, then you can dump out your trash in the trash can right outside the cafe.
The owner is nice and open to explaining many of the menu items since I wasn't sure what they were. So if you are unsure what something is, just ask :)
Sev Puri || $5
Comes with 7 little fried and hollowed puffs that are filled with a potatoes mixture and topped with yogurt, a red sauce, cilantro and spices. A great snack food to try! The red sauce is spicy in case you're sensitive to spicy.
Roti Thali || $7.99
2 warm pieces of roti accompanied with rice, a samosa + spicy red sauce, green sauce, plain yogurt, red beans in gravy, mattar paneer, stewed potatoes with green beans, and a ball of cashew paste with walnut for dessert. Most of the little dishes are spicy, except for the red beans and samosa (without sauce). The mattar paneer (peas with cheese cubes in a yellow gravy) is delicious and my favorite out of the thali plate offerings.
Mango Lassi || $2.50
A small cup of mango juice thickened with a bit of yogurt. The version here didn't really seem like an actual mango lassi to me -- it's more of a watered down, juice-like version instead of a thick creamy yogurt drink. Still tasty though.
The thali and sev puri were perfect to split between 2 people for a satisfactory lunch. If you're feeling hungry, you could probably down an entire thali plate by yourself. Overall nice place to come by if you want to try out Indian snacks and vegetarian foods. -

This is an underrated hole-in-the-wall cafe that serves delicious food. The owners are kind and personable and the service is very quick. It serves authentic street food (Chaat), Gujarati and Rajasthani dishes, and homemade sweets. It is our go-to place for take-out snacks. I've been visiting them for over 15 years and have been amazed by their consistency in taste.

Stopped in for a quick tea and Samosa, two staples that are hard to mess up. Boy was I wrong. The tea was lightly spiced milk which wasn't worth a second gulp no amount of sugar could redeem it. The samosa was obviously fried multiple times to reheat. It was oily and burnt on the corners from over frying. the potato filling was over mixed to the point it was glutinous.
$5.55 for two undrinkable teas and two inedible samosas.
